Testbed designed within configuration control for parallel testing at 5 locations across the US,

Problem

  • Existing prototype not reliable, maintenance friendly, or controlled. 

  • Only bench-top testing done thus far.

  • Needed controlled testbed for multiple facilities.

Challenge

  • Information from client was sparse and existing model failed to meet the client needs. 

  • No experience with hemodialysis.

Solution

  • Implement a light-weight control system for a modular, robust, and easily maintained testbed. 

  • Intelligently apply existing control system and ERI technician/engineering resources.

Retrofit

Problem

  • New technology from the client needed to be added to the testbeds.

  • New vertical orientation with ability to change front angle.

Challenge

  • Required that we leverage the existing testbeds.

  • New design work focused only on new technology.

Solution

  • Re-orient testbed frame and reuse main mounting plate.

  • Design modular "side-car" that adds to existing function.
