Problem

Design an adapter to hold custom vials in an off-the-shelf fluorometer.
Challenge
-
The vials need to be positioned such that the target on the vial is positioned over a standard well location of a 96-well microplate.

Must hold at-least 4 vials for faster sample measurement.

Must position the vials at at least 5 degrees to ensure the sample stays at the target location.

Must be machined from aluminum to avoid background fluorescence.
Solution

Determine standardized dimensions for a 96-well microplate and apply these to a machinable design.
